A List of the Wrestling Age and Weight Categories

Weight classes

Wrestlers must weigh in exactly on or under their nominated category weight. Wrestlers can change their nominated weight category after registering, up to the final registration date by emailing the Tournament Director with the requested changes. 

There will be no weight tolerance.

Wrestlers are to wear singlets to facilitate the medical inspections.

The following age and weight categories are as follows.

School Age (6-15yo)

6 -7 years old
Male/Female

19, 23, 27, 35, 42, 53, 66 and 73kg

8 – 9 years old
Male/Female

23, 27, 35, 42, 53, 66 and 73kg

10 to 11 years old
Male/Female

23, 27, 35, 42, 53, 66, 73, and 85kg

12 to 13 years old

14 to 15 years old
